So I've come to the conclusion that humans are slowly devolving into a mess of morons, to be put lightly.
All around, I see idiots killing themselves by doing stupid stunts, I see drivers that could care less about anyone but themselves and the extra 10 seconds driving recklessly gets them. In fact, the other day I was walking down the street and I come to a light, a paramedic ambulence is streaking toward the intersection, blaring it's horn. No one stops moving through. As it comes to the light, some people stop but STILL more people are charging through the lane. It took about ten seconds sitting at the light for the paramedic to get through, and that is serious.
Perhaps on top of that I've been ignored by pretty much everyone I know. I don't even get an explanation, and when I make plans they all get blown off. It completely sucks.
Oh, and my desktop computer broke. fabulous right? Well what makes it better is that my brother (some of you may be familiar with this asshat) Decided he would reformat the computer all by himself. He also decided not to ask for help when he couldn't figure out how to use the recovery discs. Guess what that means? Yep, all our documents are now gone, for good. PLUS we can't find the disc to the program that lets us connect to the internet on that computer. Nice.
OKAY enough negativity.
I recently saw a slew of movies, due to being a movie theatre employee, I got to watch them free. So I think I'll write some honest reviews from my point of view.
UP: Great movie, tear jerker, funny, witty, and dramatic. I don't care what anyone else says either, all the dog scenes were awesome, even the ones in planes.
Land Of The Lost: Freaking hilarious, I loved this movie. Everything was done awesome and they had all the good inside jokes in there if you had watched the show before.
Night at the Museum 2: Better than the first one, in my opinion. Some of the jokes weren't that great, and some scenes could have been longer, but it was an all around good movie.
Dance Flick: This movie I went into thinking it would be really stupid, and some of the scenes were, but most of the scenes made me laugh out loud in the theatre.
I really wanted to see "I love you man" but it got out of the theatre before I could.
Well, thats all I got. I think that this post could have been a little better, and a little less random, but oh well.
And now for something semi-different.

Apologies and Poems
Hey everyone, I'm sorry about not posting for a while, I've been busy with work and I've pretty much only had my latest poem on my mind. (Yeah, yeah I write poetry, big whoop wanna fight about it?)
I figured I would post my poem here on my blog to see how you guys like it! Make sure to let me know what you think. This one is titled "Dominion" and is my thoughts on the economy right now. It's a little dark, but my poems usually are.

Dominion
This world, I fear, is worthless.
The notion of your gold,
to gain wealth that is matchless
or so I have been told
amounts to naught but contests
to claim the tallest hill.
Arisen from these conquests
come men prepared to kill,
selfish men who own the land
unmoved by helpless cries,
carry on with what they've planned
while life around them dies.
You have heard the news , I'm sure.
The plans that we've been told.
While they take you on the tour
I'll watch as things unfold.
Unless the course is altered,
unless we make a choice.
The men will see we've faltered
and then they'll take our voice.
[Edit]: Fixed a small typo!

$125
Hello, all of you who maybe might be looking at my blog. I've not been having a very good week, but I'll try to spare you the complaining, as two complaint posts in a row can get pretty old.
I got my first paycheck today, a measly $125, I probably only worked about 21 hours total. It feels like a lot more though, and it's frustrating. I'm hoping that I'll get more hours soon so I can get done what needs done.
My phone has been broken for a few days so I'm thinking about using the money to repair/replace my phone. The thing is really important to me, I can't be even 5 minutes without my phone right by my side. I guess it's a security blanket kind of deal. The last time I broke my phone it was completely out of commission and I pretty much had a nervous breakdown.
No more flip phones, they break too easily.
Ok, enough complaining eh? I'm pretty psyched to have this blog set up, and I keep thanking Lee about it. It's really cool to be able to just type out how I'm feeling for whoever is out there to read. You guys are out there right...?
Another thing I'll eventually be saving money for is a good costume for Anime Vegas, or Otacon. My dream costume would be a Repo Man from Repo! The Genetic Opera, my favorite musical movie.
It's got an all star cast, but it's rated R, so be careful who you watch it with. (some scenes contain nudity, fyi. Not really bad, just chest.)
I would be going for a costume that looks like this lovely chap in the picture. Might take a little while eh? I have no idea where I'm going to get the helmet or the scalpel.
I suppose I'll wrap up. This post didn't go exactly how I imagined it would when I started, but hey, that's how it works sometimes. I'm actually working on writing a new poem, so I think I'll post that as soon as I'm done.
In closing, I would like to give you a quote that I liked
Genius may have it's limitations, but stupidity is not thusly handicapped.
-Elbert Hubbard
(One last thing, if it doesn't look like I have a link to comment on my posts, it's just hiding, hover around the text below this and it should be there in the usual spot.)

The Theatre
No, not the way you guys see it. I'm talking behind the scenes, the people who pick up after the moviegoers.
Yeah, that's me. I work at one of the movie theaters here in Vegas, and I must say, you people need to clean up after yourselves. I just had the worst night ushering the theater alone. No Help. During a busy time right after UP and a few other less interesting movies came out. I was about twenty minutes behind schedule at one point because I got stuck in one of the auditoriums cleaning up piles of food and spills left behind. It's like everyone was raised in a barn.
Even before I joined the movie theater work force, I would never leave behind FULL boxes of popcorn and FULL sodas and all sorts of other things I find while cleaning. Children's movies are the worst, as you'll get many more spills and torn bags of candy in those movies.
I even find things like Beer, the can half empty, just sitting on the ground. How do these people smuggle this stuff in? It's ridiculous. I heard from a friend that used to work there that he found condoms in one theater, and Needles in the next. Come on now people. That's disgusting.
I suppose the worst thing about the day was that no one was really texting me while I was able to talk, when they did answer, no one cared about how I was feeling. Lee, my best friend, was too busy with her boyfriend to really talk, though at one point she apparently had her phone silenced. But I digress.
I apologize for my second post being a rant, but it helped ease the pain of my walking muscles.

The Plot
Hello, I'm Drew! I've decided to finally set up my own official blog. I'm 19 years old and graduated from high school. I don't really know how to describe myself, but I'll try.
I'm a massive geek, and I don't use that in a derogatory way. I love video games, computer games, paper games, board games. (well, most board games). I thoroughly enjoy Dungeons and Dragons, and 'violent' games.
I feel that I am also an endangered species, not just the fact that I have blonde hair, but also the fact that I am indeed a gentleman, I'm one of the last nice guys left on earth, and I take pride in that, and the fact that I live a straight edge life. I have NEVER touched Drugs or Alcohol, and I don't plan to any time soon.
I am a Christian, yep, I believe in God and his plan for us. I'm not one of those crazy people that tries to shove their faith in your face. If you don't want to hear about it, or if you don't believe, I won't bother you. You atheists leave me alone, I leave you alone.
On to other things... lets see...
I love music, music is my emotional drive, and it lets me vent and show how I'm feeling on the inside. If you need to know what's wrong, or why I'm so happy, just listen to what I'm listening to. Along with my love for music is a love for theatre. I would dearly like to join a play, or some other form of entertainment and perhaps become an actor or voice actor.
Like I said, I'm a really friendly, nice person. I would love any comments post on my blog, as long as they are not harassment or spamming.
I look forward to having people read the Ramblings of a Gentleman.
